Sonnet no2 Ghosted on Tinder by the Quillmatic Bardinator
Upon the glowing screen, a love did bloom,
In pixels formed, a chance at sweet romance.
Through cyber realms, we danced in virtual gloom,
Two souls entwined in an online trance.
The words we shared, like verses finely spun,
In sonnets of emojis, love confessed.
Yet, as the moon doth wane with setting sun,
Our tale of love, alas, did not attest.
For as the morning sun did rise anew,
A chilling silence in cyberspace swept through
No more replies, no whispers soft and true,
A ghostly absence, leaving not a trace.
Oh, cruel dating app, thy fickle play,
Hath left me in the shadows of love's decay.
