About Blink Friction, A Reclaimed Art Project by Sarnia de la Maré FRSA

 

Blink Friction is a long-running symbolic and process-led art practice by Sarnia de la Maré, working with reclaimed materials, archival fragments, and personal sigil systems.

The work brings together early stencil practice, salvage aesthetics, and contemporary mark-making to explore memory, identity, and feminine power across time.

Each piece functions as both artefact and transmission — uniting past and present through layered surfaces, symbols, and material history.
